You need to nip this in the bud. Who is paying for the wedding?
Myself and htb are paying for it ourselves without any outside help(really hoping we wont need a loan at the end from Mr. Credit Union) and have allowed our parents have 3 sets of friends each (all aunts and uncles are coming already so suggest that to her also).
Maybe suggest a different task e.g. looking at dresses with you.. Put the foot down the sooner rather than later tho.
Look forward to hearing how you get on hon.

Hi awaybride,
as g4ajune11 said you do need to nip this right in the bud as its your big day not the mother in laws! maybee you should have a quiet word with H2B and say to him that you feel she is making all the decisions for you and that you appreciate all her help but would like to make final decisions on some aspects of your wedding.

please god she understands where you are coming from without getting upset..

thats the things with weddings and famalies you have to be so sensitive about these things things!

Best of luck! :)

Sounds more like a monster-in-law than mother-in-law :) You should watch that film to put you in a better mood and she might not seem that bad!! Just remember, its one day you'll never get back, enjoy it the way you want to..

that film monster in law is gas! especially the bit where there kicking the cr*p out of each other! im sure weve all felt like that at some stage especially with MILs who try to controll our weddings.

maybee i suggest you should watch the film with your MIL and she might see the humerous side of the point you are trying to make!
