Fake Tan

Postby Mrs2be » Mon Jun 14, 2010 11:59 am

I was at a wedding recently where the bride would not wear fake tan cause she wanted to be natural and didnt want tan marks on her dress.

I practiacally have translusent skin so i always need my fake tan. I recently had to stop using my usual fake tan because it changed formula and the tan would not stay on :ugeek:

Is spray tan a good idea or is there a chance of tan rubbing off expecially under the arms of the dress cause i would hate that!

You never know until you try, have a trial in a beauticians before hand cos different skin reacts differently to tan. I use the Lancom Flash Bronzer and i love it..

I've only ever used fake bake spray tan and it's excellent. Had it done 3 times now and it's always looked so natural. Once you're careful when it's drying in then it shouldn't smudge. It's never rubbed off either because you've washed off the excess before the event. A good beautician will beable to recommend a good one to match your skin and make sure you have a few trials before the wedding to make sure you like it!

hey ladies,
i do a lot of spary tanning and there are so many differant types you wont be stuck for choice!!! make sure you have a trial thats very imporatant and you need to fon one that suits your skin... fake bake and st tropez are not great for very light skin but there are others on the market made for lighter skin such as Rockstar tan!! make sure you get the girls name who does yourtan because sometimes when you get you r tan done they throw the trainees in 2 do your tan and to be honest i have found the more spray tans a beautician does the better they are at doing them, if u get her name and like it at least you can ask for her again, it can be very hit and miss getting them done in a salon as you dont no how experienced the beautician is!! just have a chat with them when booking it and ask them how u should prep your skin and mainatin tan after its done. that is very imprortant if you dont want to have patches!!! also with tan because a wedding dress fits like a glove and you may be dancing and sweating in it the chances are it will stain, anyone who has got a spary tan will notice that even after washing off excess you will have stains in particular on your bra reason being is the bra sits so closelt to the skin!! a wedding dress will be the same!!! but probably on the inside but bewatre of underneath the arms if you have sleeves on the dress.... any good spray tan ill come out when washed!!! my main advice would to have a couple of them done beforehand and also get the tan done 2 days before wedding as at least you have a day inbetween to fix it if anything goes wrong!! hope that helps x

I would say go for loads of trials, and if you have another wedding or night out before hand try the tan there to see how it stays on!
Counting down to October 27th 2012 - the day I will marry my best friend
