Jogging ahhh...

Postby yeldart » Wed Jul 14, 2010 6:10 pm

I am allergic to excercise and addicted to food!

Thought going around after my two year old would shed the pounds but nibbling on his left overs defeats the purpose. For the past month ive made myself go jogging 3 times a week its not much but its enough to keep me interested and already i feel better. Scales wise im the same but deffinatly toned up especially on problem area of thighs. So we all need to persevere and keep the weak minds strong.!!

Best of Luck

Tina

Fair play! I've been thinking about starting jogging for ages but I keep making excuses not to! Was it very difficult to start off with? I could def do with getting rid of a few inches off my thighs!

hey girls,
thats great tina, 3 times a week is brilliant thats all that reccommended by fitness experts!! i try and jog 2 or 3 times a week and i walk 2 or 3 times and try and get as much hills in as possible!! i have some weight to lose but i agrree it dies halp tone up the thighs!! i do weights 3 or 4 times wekk the muscles up around the arms aresmaller muscles so easier to tone that the reast of your body and as im waering a strapless dress this is importatnat to me!! i started doing the weights last week and i was quite stiff this week and was dissapointed that i put on 1.5lbs this week considering ive done so much and was quite good with sticking toi a healthy diet but they say muscle ways more than fat so i should really start measuring myself aswell every week lol!! jogging is an excellent way to shift the lbs and tone up and i find it addictive and menatlly i always feel great afterwards!!! great way to clear the head!!

MY TIPS FOR STARTING OFF JOGGING

START OF BY STRECTHING YOUR LEGS AND ARMS AND BEGIN WITH A BRISK WALK TO WARM YOURSELF UP AND EASE INTO IT

if you are not used to jogging start off by jogging at your own pace for 3 minutes and then walking for 3 minutes then jogging then walking etc and build it up try aim for half an hour for the first few days and then increase the time as you get better
jog on the grass if you can to avoid hurting knee joints
get a good pair of jogging runners and a sports bra
to motivate yourslf but yourfavourite tunes on your ipodor fast upbeat tracks to get you going!
finish off with a brisk walk and a stretch
Drink lots of water
ENJOY IT!!

happy jogging ladies
